The 2008 AGM was held on Saturday 18th October 2008.
Hosted by the Abingdon Branch (assisted by
East Vale) at the
Preston Road Community Centre.
Before the meeting started
visitors were taken by mini-bus to visit the sites of the old and
the new junctions. There was also an opportunity to view our
new style display material. Tea and coffee were available all
day and a very enjoyable lunch was provided.
The formal meeting started at 14.00. All directors
standing were re-elected .The meeting was addressed by Trust
President Dr. David Fletcher. A special presentation was made to our
founder member Neil Rumbol. Pick of the Branches 2008 was
presented to Swindon Branch and the Tony Davy Memorial Bowl was
presented to Luke Walker.
A Council Meeting was held after
the AGM which re-appointed John Laverick as Chairman and Peter
Kinsman as Treasurer. Council also co-opted two new directors
Chris Coyle and Mike Lang . Chris will be taking on the role as
Company Secretary and Mike as Membership Secretary (designate).
Over 80 members attended the AGM and associated visits in Abingdon.
The next AGM is scheduled for Saturday 17th October 2009

new Event Coordinator) is

display posters.
The Sales team
was doing good business.
A very good lunch
was provided.
Ann, the Trust
Administrator, made sure that
things ran smoothly.

inside in time for the AGM
