Thames Water responds
to public feedback on reservoir design proposals
Thames Water has today
published a report on the public feedback received from the 370 people who
commented on the company's initial proposals in relation to the design,
landscape, conservation, recreation and access for the proposed Upper Thames
Reservoir in Oxfordshire.
The responses made during the 'Stage 2
Consultation' in early 2007 are set out in the Report on Stage 2 Involvement and
will be used to inform any future work on the design of the reservoir and its
associated facilities.
The report will enable people who participated
in the consultation to see how their comments have directly influenced proposals
for the reservoir.
The need for the proposed reservoir is still
being considered by the Government as part of the company's draft Water
Resources Management Plan. The Plan sets out the company's proposals to manage
water supply and demand between 2010 and 2035.
